William Manuel Romero Shirley

William "Bill" Manuel Romero Shirley was born on November 22, 1935, and passed peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 89.

Bill was the son of the late Thomas Romero and the late Ruth Shirley Romero.

He is the loving father of Susy Romero (Nestor), Bill Maunel Romero (Cinthia), and Ruth Elisa Romero; the loving grandfather of Bill Romero Jr., Cynthia Nicole Romero, Ruth Daniella (Carlos), Eric Bran, Luis Daniel Vasquez, Nestor Rivas, Christopher Rivas, David Vasquez, and Valeria Rivas; and great-grandfather to Adhara Eliette. He is preceded in death by all his siblings, Isilda, Nelda, Tommy, Dorothy, Robert, and Edward. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill worked as an operator in the construction industry for 50+ years. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family.

His funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, and the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Interment will be private.
