Walter E. Driscoll Jr., Ph.D. went home to his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Joyce Gleason Driscoll by first marriage and the late Aurelia Danielli Driscoll by second marriage. Loving father of Victoria Williams (Walter), Catherine Verdin (Anthony), Robert Driscoll (Lynn), the late Joycelyn Cheramie (Henry) and Randolph Driscoll Sr. Grandfather of Jeannie, Cherie, Anthony Jr., David, Randolph Jr., Joycelyn and Victoria. Great-grandfather of Austin, Morgyn, Maci, Kaleb, Kylan, Lakyn, David Jr., Drew and Jacey. Brother of the late Dorothy Mae Bosco (the late Gilbert Sr.). Son of the late Victoria Prinz Driscoll and Walter E. Driscoll Sr. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Walter grew up in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School in the Ninth Ward. He attended Loyola University, New Orleans and graduated with a Ph.D. in Pharmacy. He worked with his father at Driscoll’s Pharmacy and eventually assumed ownership and later worked for K & B Pharmacy where he retired in 1994.
Walter was an ordained minister and was a member of Christian Fellowship in Marrero and Bayou Blue Assembly of God. As a devout Christian and businessman, he led his family and community members in God’s path. He will be sadly missed but his legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of many.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Christian Fellowship Church, 5049 Ehret Road in Marrero, LA on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Services will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
