Victor Anthony Vinet, Sr.

Victor Anthony Vinet, Sr., age 87, a native of New Orleans and resident of Harvey, LA entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2025 after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joann Panepinto Vinet. Father of Victor Vinet, Jr. (Karen). Grandfather of Spenser Vinet (Kristin). Great-grandfather of Aiden and Avery Vinet. Son of the late Sandra Lachute Vinet and Marcel Vinet, Sr. Brother of Christopher Vinet, Pearl Collins, Mary Collins, Frances Martin, and Rebecca Petral, and the late Marcel Vinet, Jr., Lena Pellegal, Julia Babineaux, and Catherine Vinet. Vic was a lifetime member of the Gretna Gould Fire Department and American Legion. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a fixture at the Gretna Market for the past 17 years selling his famous hogshead cheese. Vic was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Interment private. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
