Vesta M. Arabie entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Jules Arabie. Daughter of the late Joseph N. Matherne and the late Ernestine Dominique Matherne. Beloved mother of the late Jules Joseph Arabie and the late Wayne Anthony Arabie, Sr. Grandmother of Christine Arabie Cantrelle (Donald), Wayne Anthony Arabie, Jr. (Teresa), Christophor Joseph Arabie (Raynell), Corey James Arabie (Natasha), Patrick Joseph Arabie (Patricia) and the late Ray Anthony Arabie. Survived by 13 Great Grandchildren and several Great Great Grandchildren. Vesta is 1 of 13 siblings who preceded her in death. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was former President of the Harvey Golden Ages. She was born in Matthews, Louisiana and was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Doctors and Staff of Heart of Hospice for their love and care given to Vesta. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
