Verna Babin Thomassie passed away on June 13, 2011. She was born March 13, 1939 and resided in Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Melvin J. Thomassie, Sr. Mother of Susan Adams (Mike), Julie Regina (Randy), Melvin (Pam), Darrin (Georgia) and Marty (Lacie). Grandmother of Jason, Phillip, Travis, Steven, Sierra and Austin. Great-grandmother of Madelyn. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Babin. Sister of the late Dorothy Habisreitinger, Mary Lee, Jerry and Windom Babin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 1 PM. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM.
