Van Joseph Sons Sr

Van Joseph (Pops) Sons Sr. passed away on Monday July 24 2023 at 2:05pm entered into the Kingdom of God at the age of 82.  Beloved husband of Lillian Fonseca Sons. Loving father of Van Joseph Sons Jr (Michelle) and Wayne Joseph Sons. Grandfather of Dustin Joseph Sons (Kristi), and great grandfather of Isabella, Elizabeth, and Jeremiah sons. Son of the late Joseph Henry Sons and Dorothy Decaureaux Sons. Brother of the late Joan Ann Sons, Danny Paul Sons,  and survived by Patricia Ann Hall, Brenda Marie Bracey (Timmy).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Van worked at the Sewerage and Water Board in Algiers for 32 years before retiring in 2002. Van enjoyed calling bingo at the Marrero/Harvey Senior Center for 10 Years. Van was also a member of First Baptist Church of Belle Chasse for over thirty years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at First Baptist Church of Belle Chasse, 8828 Hwy 23 Belle Chasse, La on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 12pm. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30am until 12pm. Interment will follow in at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA   In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Frist Baptist Church of Belle Chasse in Van’s name.
