Troy Anthony Feurtado

Troy Anthony Feurtado, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend, entered into eternal rest on July 23, 2025, at the age of 52. A lifelong resident of Marrero, LA, Troy was a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and gave wholeheartedly to those around him.

He was the beloved husband of Mirian Feurtado, and a proud and loving father to Maranda Feurtado (William), Troy Feurtado, Jr., Dylan Feurtado, Laurie Palma, and Kate Feurtado. His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren, Matilyn Miller and Phoenix Guidroz, whom he adored beyond measure.

Troy was the son of Carolyn Feurtado Elledge (Jim) and the late Dave Feurtado, and the brother of Dave Feurtado, Jr. (Miriam), Denna Perque (Brady Jr.), Chad Feurtado (Alicia), and Wesby Feurtado (Angel). He was also a treasured godfather to Chayse Feurtado and Brady Perque III, and is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.

Troy spent many of his formative years growing up in Utila, Honduras, a place that forever held a special place in his heart. The time he spent there left a lasting impact—not just on him, but on the many family members and friends whose lives he touched with his generous heart, easy laugh, and unforgettable presence.

For 31 years, Troy worked as a crane operator with ILA Local 3000, a job he took immense pride in. His coworkers became his second family, and he built lifelong bonds with many of them. Troy was known for his unwavering work ethic, kind spirit, and selfless nature. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and to build a life filled with love, laughter, and loyalty.

Troy will be remembered for the way he made people feel, seen, supported, and loved. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 5 PM.
