Tien Duc Nguyen

Tien Duc Nguyen, born on January 2, 1967 in Da Lat, Vietnam, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the age of 59. He was a longtime resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he lived a humble, simple, and deeply heartfelt life.

He found joy in the simple things—fishing, playing ping pong, and most of all, spending time with his son, Dustin, who was the light of his life.

He was the beloved son of Mr. Tony Long Nguyen and the late Mrs. Nga Nguyen. He was a devoted father to Dustin Nguyen, and a loving husband to Lien Nguyen. He was a cherished brother to Heidi Nguyen (Anthony Nguyen), Heather Pham (Thach Pham), Ray Nguyen (Emma Nguyen), and the youngest brother, Vu Nguyen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him.

Tien was known for his big heart, his gentle spirit, and his unwavering willingness to help anyone at any time. He was loving, non‑judgmental, and endlessly supportive, touching countless lives simply through his presence. Those who knew him remember him as a man who gave freely, cared deeply, and made others feel seen and valued.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Mothe Funeral Home, located at 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana.
