Theresa Guyllette Mutz

Theresa Guyllette Mutz entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2023 at the age of 76. She passed peacefully in the comfort of her home in Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Leonard R. Mutz, Sr.  Mother of Darryl Vinson, Donna M. Melanson (Darren), and the late Leonard R. Mutz, Jr. Grandmother of Kristin M. Matherne (Kyle), Rebecca Melanson, Dalton Melanson, Jeannie McAdams (Ryan), and Hailey Mutz. Great-grandmother of Rowen, Aleister, Natalie, Matthew, and Kyson. Daughter of the late Oswald A. Guyllette Sr. and Mary Ellen Alexander. Sister of Ernest Guyllette, Mary Mattison, Pamela Echevarria, Oswald Guyllette, Jr., Harry Guyllette, Martha Doty, and the late Glenda Seal, Johnny Guyllette, David Guyllette, Barney Mutz, and Laura Mutz.

A devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother, Theresa loved her family. Previously employed by Schwegmann’s, Picadilly, Zatarain’s, and the Archdiocese of New Orleans, she was a dedicated worker. A lifelong lover of music and dance, Theresa joins her dance partner, the late Leonard R. Mutz, Sr., in Heaven.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on July 19 at 11 AM. Interment Lakelawn Mausoleum, Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 11 AM.
