Theodore “Tito” Bradley, born April 2, 1930, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2022 at the age of 92. He is survived by his 4 children; Brian (Julie) Bradley, Kim (Rob) Thayer, Michele Bradley, and June Bradley; his grandchildren Brett Bradley, Brandon Bradley, Chelsea Thayer and Ann McElderry; his great grandchildren Mikie and Emma McElderry; and his sisters Alita Faucheux and Betty Lindo. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Bradley; his parents Gilbert and Consuelo Bradley; and his siblings June, Stanley and Oscar Bradley.
Tito was born in Belize and moved up to the United States after high school at St. John’s College and joined the National Guard in New Orleans where he remained for 15 years. During this time, he also worked another fulltime job at Pontchartrain Beach. In 1966 he moved back to Belize whereby he worked for a bit in the family business at Bradley’s Bottling Works and then ventured on to being self-employed in the gas station business but eventually ended up working at Caye Chapel at the resort as Operations Manager and Dive Master. He retired from there in his 50’s after all his children had finished high school and he then returned to the US and resided in Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina came, forcing he and Shirley to relocate to Terrytown, where he resided until his passing. Tito loved playing poker and after his retirement until his passing, Tito could be found at Harrah’s Casino or Boomtown Casino most days. He made many friends there over the 30+ years, from the dealers to the players.
The Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at 535 Deerfield Road in Terrytown on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 for 11am.
