Terry Joseph Eymard, age 77, born in Galliano, Louisiana and a resident of Marrero, Louisiana, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 7, 2024, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on November 17, 1946. Terry was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his kind heart and humble nature.
In his younger days, Terry spent plenty of time on the bayou with his grandfather “Pa-Pop” and time at his grandfather, “BT’s”, general store. This time inspired him to become a successful businessman as a push boat owner/operator and builder, a passion he shared with his father, Louis and brothers Gary and Ted, which continued until his passing.
He found joy in spending time on the water, fishing, and engaging in deep conversations with his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family while seated on his porch swing. The highlight of his many weekends were the gathering of his friends and family for his infamous seafood boils.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Cheryl Bourgeois Eymard, daughters Kimberly Champagne(John Jr.), Christie Gagliano, grandchildren Kalli Champagne, Vincent J. Gagliano and Mia Gagliano. He also leaves behind his brother Gary Eymard(Cynthia) and sisters Judy Eymard, Mary Lou Lee (Jeffery Sr.), Tammy Lightell, Brother-in-law Gary Bourgeois, and many nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Louis Eymard and Pearl Crosby Eymard, brother Ted Eymard, sister-in-law Margaret(Mardi), baby Eymard and sister Carol Dantin and brother-in-law Daniel Sr.. Grandparents Webster Crosby, Cedonia Callais Crosby, BT Eymard and Artesia Guidry Eymard.
