Stephen "Steve" Lloyd Acosta

Stephen "Steve" Acosta entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2025 at his home. Beloved son of the late Lloyd Acosta and Beatrice Weinberger Acosta. Brother of Cynthia Wilkinson (Bruce), Susan A. Marasco (Michael), and Lynn Owens (Ivy). Uncle of Mandy, Heather, Tara,  Adrienne, Ryan, Kyle and Nicholas and numerous great nephews and nieces. Godfather of Brent Hymel.  Age 77 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Westwego, LA.  In his early years, Steve enjoyed driving his drag racing car in Laplace winning many trophies.  He also liked to bowl and was in many leagues. He always loved fishing and spent many happy days fishing with his longtime friend, Charlie Rotolo.

 Relatives and friends of the family, especially those who worked with Steve at Stewart & Stevenson, are invited to attend the Visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 522 Avenue A, Westwego, LA on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 11 AM until Funeral Mass time at 12 Noon. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
