Stanley Gene Nash Jr. passed peacefully surrounded by family, and his life will continue to be celebrated by all who loved him.

Stanley Gene Nash Jr was born in Marshall, TX on November 6, 1956 to his loving parents Stanley Gene Nash Sr and Cora Ann (Sullivan) Nash. He attended and graduated from West Jefferson High School. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He worked as a pipe fitter and welder with Local Union 342 and served as a manager for the RES Car Train Yard during the 1980s. In the 1990s, he also worked a second job with Avondale Shipyards. His life reflected a legacy of hard work, commitment, and perseverance that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Stan was a man of many interests and talents who never shied away from trying something new. He enjoyed music, writing poetry, and reading about history and philosophy. He also had a love for travel and found great joy in making memories with those he loved most. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Gene Nash Sr. and Cora Ann (Sullivan) Nash.

He is survived by his brother, Robert (Julie); his children, David (Kelli), Sarah, Trevor (Daniela), and Ryan (Kristina); his cherished grandchildren, Emily (Zuriel), Gabrielia (Joey), Noah (Alexa), Thomas (Kesley), Carter, Savannah, Elysabeth, Addasin, McKenna, Amelia, and Beckham; and his great-grandchild, Rowan. Stan was excited to hear the news of him having another grandchild on the way before his passing. He is also survived by his former wife, friend and mother to his children, Cathy. As well as his beloved niece and nephews, Joseph, Amanda, and Jacob.

At Stan's request, no funeral services will be held. Cremation was handled by Mothe Funeral Home and the family will celebrate his life privately.

The family would like to thank West Jefferson Medical Center, Foundations Hospice, and Mothe Funeral home for their great care and support.
