Our beloved brother Stanley Joseph Chotin Jr., affectionately known as Bubba to his family, passed away February 3, 2024 at Ochsner Hospital New Orleans. Stanley was born on March 3, 1956 to Stanley and Beverly Chotin. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and a graduate of Tulane University. Stanley always had a love of golf, whether playing it or choosing a career within the field. He always wanted to be close to the game. He loved spending time with family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sisters Bonnie (Robert) Bell, Sheila (Camille) Bourgeois, Stephanie (Michael) Davis, lifelong partner Penny Dickinson and her daughters Haley Rodrigue and the late Ali Dickinson, and granddaughter Emma, whom he loved as his own. Nieces and nephews Lauren Bourgeois, Brendon (Ashley) Davis, Ryan (Brigid) Bell, Jordon Davis, Lindsey (Taylor) Eymard, Allison (Owen) Connelly, Amanda (Devin) Steib, Camille (Brianna) Bourgeois, and Madelon Davis. Great nieces and nephews Collin, Greyson, Lucy, Nova, Avery and Adalynn. Preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Beverly Chotin. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Amyloidosis foundation can be made in his name. amyloidosis.org Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 3PM on Friday February 9, 2024 in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey. Visitation will begin at 10AM.
