Shirley Pichoff Maurer

Shirley Pichoff Maurer passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Leon F. Maurer, Jr. for 57 years. Mother of Robert J. Bourgeois II (Debbie). Daughter of the late Genevieve and Murray Pichoff. Sister of the late Gladys Pichoff Nemeth, Bruce E. Pichoff and Murray Pichoff. Grandmother of Amy Guidroz (Dustin), Joe Bourgeois, and John  Bourgeois. Great grandmother of Sarah E. Guidroz and Noah M. Guidroz. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She loved gardening and was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 3600 Claire St., Gretna, LA on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11am. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday from 9am until 10:30am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Heart of Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
