Shirley Bourgeois Chiasson

July 2, 1938 — December 7, 2017

Shirley Bourgeois Chiasson, 79, has joined her husband Jerry Paul Chiasson, Sr. in eternal peace. She always wanted to dance with the love of her life again and now he's bringing her home. Beloved mother of Karen Chiasson-Wall, Sheryl Ann Rome (Charlie) and Jerry P. Chiasson, Jr. Daughter of the late Bessie and Eddie Bourgeois. Sister of the late Roy Bourgeois and Jerry Bourgeois. Grandmother of Ann Marie and Alexius Lauren Wall, Kaydie Jo, and Jay Alex Chiasson. Also survived by other family members and friends. She was a dedicated volunteer for disabled veterans. She was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 45 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of Metry VFW Post 6640, members of the Military Order of the Cooties Auxiliary No. 3, and Bridge City Senior Center are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1pm. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9am until 1pm. Interment, Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation to the family is appreciated.
