Shirley Elizabeth Morvant Bradley, age 83 passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 18, 2020. She was born on November 20, 1936 in Labadieville, Louisiana to her father, Louis and mother, Elma. Shirley lived her life with an open heart and was a dedicated wife and mother. Shirley attended Assumption High School in Napoleonville, LA. During the summer between her junior and senior years, she spend her time working at her aunt and uncle’s restaurant near Jackson Barracks in New Orleans, where she met the love of her life, Tito. They later married on November 22, 1956 and settled in New Orleans, where their first two children, Brian and Kim were born. Shortly after, they moved to Belize City, Belize where they had two other children, Michele and June. Shirley and Tito raised all four there. Shirley adored her family above all else. Some of her last words to her family were that she has lived a long and full life, had four beautiful children and four beautiful grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Theodore “Tito” Bradley; four children, Brian Bradley (Julie), Kim Thayer (Robert), Michele Bradley and June Bradley; four grandchildren, Brett Bradley, Brandon Bradley, Chelsea Thayer and Ann Thayer (and baby Mike due in February). She is also survived by her siblings, Joyce Morvant and Gerald Morvant and a number of other loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, LA on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 10AM until 11AM. A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at a later date. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
