Shirley W. Bernard peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved and devoted wife of Wilson J. Bernard, Jr. for the past 63 years. Daughter of the late Aaron and Thirza Webster. Loving mother of Shauna B. Savoie (Keith), Susan C. Bernard (Kirby Allemand), Sharon B. Ledet (Philip) and Steven A. Bernard (Rose Piazza). Loving grandmother of Justin Savoie, Shane Savoie (Laura), Megan Ledet (Chip Gaillot), Morgan Ledet, Alexander Bernard (Ciara Boudreaux), Stephanie Duvernay (Mario) and Brittany Piazza (Tyler Kampmann). Great Grandmother of Dexter Joseph Savoie. Sister of Blaine Webster (the late Ailene), Barbara Stevens (Levoy), Patricia W. Royce (Robert) and the late Byron “Bud” Webster (Survived by Alberta). Shirley is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in West Jordan, Utah and was residing in Marrero, LA. Shirley played Po-Ke-No with her Po-Ke-No Girls for over 50 years. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 10AM until 12:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7th Street, Marrero, LA on Tuesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
