Sheryl J. Barnish, 77, a resident of Boutte, LA, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Visitation will be held at MOTHE Funeral Homes, in Marrero, LA on Friday, November 21st from 9:30 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held in the MOTHE Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am with a private burial to follow. The address for MOTHE Funeral Home's Marrero location is 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, Louisiana, 70072.

Sheryl is survived by her sister Gena DeSoto (Jimmy), niece Julie Landry (Shawn), nephew Brad Theriot (Dawn), niece Rechelle (Aaron), along with many great nieces and nephews including Hayden and Talan, whom she had a special bond with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William and Genalane O’Donnell and her sister Kathleen Theriot.

Sheryl loved being at home and enjoyed the last years of her life, living with her sister and brother-in-law along with her niece, Julie Landry and family.

She was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.
