Sheri Hudson Bell

September 24, 1969 — May 4, 2025

Metairie

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sheri Bell, a woman whose life was defined by strength, honesty, and love, on May 4th, 2025. Born to Rebecca Hudnall and Joe Hudson, Sheri faced life with an unshakeable will and a heart that never stopped giving, even when life gave her every reason to hold back. She overcame immense personal challenges from serious medical issues to strained family relationships yet through it all, she held tightly to her love for the people in her life. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always real. She is survived by her loving son, Keller, who credits his mom for helping him find sobriety and completely transform his life. Her unwavering support and belief in him remain a cornerstone of his recovery and the man he is today. She also leaves behind her two beloved dogs, G and Baby Girl, who brought her daily joy and comfort. She is also lovingly remembered by her unborn grandson, Alexander Martin Bell. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rebecca and Joe; her sister Charlotte Hudson, who leaves behind children Samantha and Dylan; and her brother Jeff Hudson, who also passed before her. She is survived by her sister Christy Hudson, and Christy’s children: Kyle Kilmon, Kayla Hettler, and Calli Hettler, all of whom Sheri loved in her own unique, no-nonsense way. Sheri was sharp, funny, brutally honest, and deeply compassionate. She had no problem telling you exactly what she thought and you were better off because of it. She didn’t pretend. She didn’t placate. She cared enough to tell the truth, even when it was hard to hear. And beneath all that grit was a heart that never stopped fighting for the people she loved. She showed love in action, not just in words. She inspired, protected, supported, and challenged especially when it mattered most. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 4:30pm. Visitation will be private. The family kindly invites you to share thoughts, fondest memories and condolences online at www.MotheFunerals.com. She was real. She was strong. She was ours. And we’ll never stop missing her.
