Shari Reeves Hinojosa

Shari Reeves Hinojosa entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2017. Daughter of late Ethlyn Gibson Reeves and Eugene Lovene Reeves. Loving mother of Christy Hinojosa Bivens (Travis) and Jeffrey Anthony Hinojosa. Beloved grandmother of Natalie Hope Bivens. Surrogate sister of MiMi Wolfe (cousin), Claudia Pickett (cousin), and Karen Becnel (friend). Also survived by additional members of the Duckworth, Gibson, and Quirk families. Sincere appreciation and thanks for loving care to Ana Gutierrez, Sonia Rhoto, and Hope Esperanza Herrero.


Age 57 years, born in Kilgore, TX, and a resident of Gretna, LA. Graduate of Archbishop Blenk High School, Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and Charity School of Nursing. Shari devoted most of her nursing career to the E.R. at Tulane Medical Center. She loved animals, especially her horses (Cinnamon and Flash), cats (Junior and MiMi), and grandpup (Cody). In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling. Lover of all things Disney! She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 3 PM. Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 PM until 3 PM. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in her memory to the National Ataxia Foundation, www.ataxia.org
