Shannon Morvant Olivero, 52, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on October 10, 2023 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Shannon was born on August 2, 1971 to Artney and Cheryl Morvant in Algiers, Louisiana. After Shannon graduated from Immaculata High School in 1989, she went to study pharmacy at Northeastern Louisiana University. After graduating with a degree in pharmacy, she started her first job at Walgreens Pharmacy in Shreveport as a fall time pharmacist. Several years later, Shannon moved back home to New Orleans, Louisiana to continue her career with Walmart pharmacy as a pharmacy manager. Shannon worked for Walmart pharmacy for over 25 years.

In 1986, Shannon met Jeffery Olivero at Willow wood Nursing Home, where they both worked. Shannon and Jeff went on to have three children, Samantha Hoefeld (Ryan), Artney Olivero (Celeste), and Mayah Olivero. Shannon and Jeff were very blessed with two beautiful granddaughters in 2022, Olive Hoefeld and Pepper Olivero. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, going on beach trips, and watching college baseball. Shannon’s husband, children, as well as her grandchildren were her world.

 Shannon was preceded in death by her father Artney Joseph Morvant, father-in-law, Raymond Olivero, as well as all of her grandparents. She is survived by her mother Cheryl Morvant (Steve), and sister Jacqueline Morvant Bush,  (Troy), Mother-in-law, Mary Olivero, Sister-in-law Tresa McAuliffe (Patrick), brother-in-law Raymond Oliver Jr. (Peggy), and brother-in-law Joseph Olivero (Deanna). Godparents, Richard and Sheila Savoy, Godchildren, Mindi Tapie (Chris), Austin Bush (Giulianna), and Alyson McAuliffe. Nieces, Landyn Bush, Kaitlyn McAuliffe, and Megan Womack (Webb). Nephews, Christopher Olivero (Lauren), Dane Olivero (Jill), Jospeh Jr., Tyler, and Luke. Shannon is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, great nephews, great nieces, friends, coworkers, and wonderful patients.

As we commemorate our vibrant soul, please feel free to wear outfits as colorful as the beautiful life that she has led. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 Sixth Street, Gretna, LA on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 10am. Visitation will be held at the church from 8:30am until 10am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request masses or donations to NOFA NOLA ( No One Fights Alone, NOLA)
