Sarah Newton Israel

Sarah Newton Israel, of Kenner, Louisiana, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 63. She was born on May 15, 1962, in Waynesboro, Georgia, and was a longtime resident of Algiers, Louisiana.

Sarah found her greatest comfort at home, where she loved relaxing and watching classic movies. She cherished time spent with her daughter, Alyssa—especially their shared love of attending concerts together. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her beloved grand dog, Jack, who brought her endless happiness and companionship.

She is survived by her former spouse, James “Scott” Israel; her daughter, Alyssa Israel Condrey and her husband Kyle; and her cherished grand dog, Jack.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Russell DeLaney Newton III and Barbara Leona Poole; her brother Brett Jay Newton; her daughter Malorie Francis Israel; and her unborn granddaughter Madelynn Grace Condrey.

Sarah will be remembered for her quiet love of home, her devotion to her family, and the meaningful moments she shared with those closest to her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sarah's Visitation on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 9am to 11am at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 3643 Aurora Drive, New Orleans, LA 70131. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am, and Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA 70056.
