In Loving Memory of Ruben Serzo Cruz, Jr. October 29, 1975 – July 23, 2026

Held in the love of his family and entrusted to God's mercy, Ruben Serzo Cruz, Jr. passed into God's eternal care on July 23, 2026, at the age of 50.

Born in Subic Bay, Olongapo City, Philippines, Ruben was deeply loved by his family throughout his life. He will be remembered for his gentle smile, quiet spirit, and the special place he will always hold in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Ruben was the beloved son of Ruben Serzo Cruz, Sr. and Patricia Cruz, and the cherished brother of Jennifer Cruz. He was also dearly loved by his extended family, including his aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Though we grieve his passing, we are grateful for the years we shared with Ruben and find comfort in the memories that will remain with us always. Entrusting him to God's eternal care, we pray that he may now rest in peace.

Ruben's family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, expressions of sympathy, and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 1:30 p.m. at St. Cletus Catholic Church 3600 Claire Avenue Gretna, Louisiana 70053

Family and friends are warmly invited to join us in celebrating Ruben's life.

A reception will immediately follow the Memorial Mass in Jerome Hall, located on the campus of St. Cletus Catholic Church.

“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
