Ross Baudot, a remarkable soul whose life touched the hearts of all who knew him, passed away on May 14, 2026. Born on April 15, 1994, Ross lived a life filled with passion, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved.
A Master of Towing Vessels and a proud servant of both the Coast Guard and the Merchant Marine, Ross embraced the call of the water with a deep and abiding love. His career was more than a profession—it was a reflection of his adventurous spirit and expertise on the seas. Beyond his distinguished service, Ross was known as a beautiful, sweet, and kind-hearted man who would do anything for anyone, especially his cherished family.
Ross’s interests mirrored the vibrant character of his soul. He was a true enthusiast of boats, water, hunting, fishing, and skiing. Vehicles of all kinds—cars, trucks, and anything with wheels, propellers, or tracks—captivated him, and he was the fixer of all things mechanical that crossed his path. His talents and passions intertwined seamlessly, painting the portrait of a man who thrived in action and adventure.
He leaves behind a loving family who were the center of his world: his daughter, Grace Mary Baudot, and son, Hudson James Baudot; his mother, Gia Moser Blanchard, and stepfather, Charles Blanchard; his father, Robert Baudot, and stepmother, Rhonda Rawle Baudot; his sister, Rachel Brucker; his brothers, Christian Blanchard, Chandler Blanchard, Rylan Baudot, and Rowen Baudot; his brother-in-law, James Brucker; the mother of his children: Grace and Hudson Baudot, Melinda Phillips; and his grandparents, Robert and Nancy Moser.
These beloved family members carry forward Ross’s legacy of love and devotion.
Ross was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marcel and Ruth Fay Baudot, Charles and Judy Blanchard, and Woody and Pat Rawle; and by his beloved dog, Remi, “the buddy boy.” Though they have passed on, their spirits live on in the memories they shared with him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Ross on May 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Grand Oaks Mansion Mardi Gras World, located at 1380 Port of New Orleans Place in New Orleans, Louisiana. It will be a time for family, friends, and all who knew him to gather and celebrate the extraordinary life of a man whose kindness, skill, and love enriched so many lives.
Ross Baudot’s life was a testament to the power of a tender heart wrapped in strength and an unyielding spirit. Though the waters he now sails are beyond our sight, his memory will forever glide on the currents of our love and respect, carrying with it the warmth and light of a beautiful soul lost too soon.
