Rosita Cheramie Lepine

Rosita Mary Cheramie Lepine passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024 at the age of 80. A native of West Wego, LA and resident of Bell Chasse, LA for 52 years and Biloxi, MS for the past 14 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Lepine, the daughter of Lester Bernard Cheramie and Emma Hodge, the adopted daughter of Haze “Cocoa” Cheramie and Lelia Aimee Lepine, and mother of Allen J. Lepine and David E. Lepine.

She loved spending time with her family, researching family genealogy, word puzzles and her favorite hobby of all painting which she found great joy in sharing with her family and friends.

Rosita is preceded in death by her husband Eugene J. Lepine, parents Lester Bernard Cheramie and Emma Hodge, Haze “Cocoa” Cheramie and Lelia Aimee Lepine, siblings Runice C. Falgout, Lorida C. Falgout, Earla C. Guidry, Serita C. Terrebonne, Gustavia C. Plaisance, Lester J. Cheramie, Jacquin J. Cheramie, Curtis J. Cheramie, Archaus J, Cheramie, adopted siblings Aramis J. Cheramie, Lawrence A. Cheramie, Olivia C. Jeandron and grandson Kennth W. Faul II.

She is survived by her sons Allen J. Lepine (Lisa) and David E. Lepine, grandchildren Courtney, Zoie, Paige, Kevin, Brent, Kaleb (Cesna), and great grandchildren Lila, Dax, Jackson, Chloe, Sarah and Tucker.,

A wake will be held Tuesday, January 23^rd from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058. A visitation will be held the following day Wednesday, January 24th at 9:30 am at the same location followed by a service in the chapel at 11:00 am. Interment at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
