Rose Badeaux Arcement was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Rose passed away at West Jefferson Hospital from complications due to COVID on January 5, 2024 at the age of 92 years old with her family by her side.
She was born in Barataria, Louisiana on August 5, 1931 to Helen and Paul Badeaux. She was one of 5 children. Rose is the beloved wife of the late Alton Sylvester Arcement. Loving mother of two daughters, Paula Jean Arcement Butler (husband Steven Butler) and Deborah Hope Arcement Hepting (husband Kris Hepting), and devoted grandmother of Robert Paul Gonzalez, Jessica Lynn Gonzalez Richardson (Taylor), Stephanie Marie Gonzalez, Britnie Rae Hepting and Kristopher Alton Hepting. Great-Grandmother to Amelia Rose Richardson and Matthew Oren Richardson. Sister of the late Horace Badeaux, Barbara Eve Pittman, Mary Schouest and infant brother John Badeaux. She was the last surviving sibling. Daughter of the late Helen Touchard Badeaux and Paul Badeaux. Daughter-in-law of the late Adeline DeGrise Arcement Allemand and Abel Allemand. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. She was a resident of Harvey, Louisiana for the past 54 years.
Rose was a lifetime member of the American Legion Unit 222 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Poppy Chairman for many years. She was a devout Catholic and attended Mass regularly at St. Rosalie Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 9am until 11:30am. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 600 2nd Avenue in Harvey, Louisiana for 12noon. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, Louisiana.
