Rosa Laura Buritica Arboleda

Rosa L. Arboleda, was born on July 2, 1931 and entered eternal rest on August 26, 2025. She was born in Medellin, Colombia and was a life long resident of Marrero, LA.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, Luis Alfonso Arboleda, parents, Maria E. Buritica Gaviria and Roberto Torres Escobar and children, Laura Y. Clark and Fernando J. Arboleda. Survived by Sons: Carlos A. Arboleda (Livia), Francisco E. Arboleda (Claudia),

Luis G. Arboleda, Luis A. Arboleda (Lucy), Daughters: Martha I. Ramirez (Jairo), Alba M. Maya (Dario), Flor C. Guillory (William), Vicky White (Greg), Gloria E. Chin (Cesar), Adriana A. Garcia and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Rosa was a devoted Catholic. She worked as a mid-wife and seamstress for many years. She loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and playing board games.

Her funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to immediately follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3540 US 90, Avondale, LA 70094.
