Roger Albert Adams

Roger Albert Adams passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. Beloved husband of Mildred "Millie" Giardina Adams 53 years. Father of Michelle A. LeBlanc (Jay) and Eric Adams. Grandfather of Joseph LeBlanc (Kasie), Jacob Adams, Jason LeBlanc, and Justin Adams. Great grandfather of Weston and Jonah LeBlanc. Son of the late Percy Adams and Patricia Read Adams. Brother of Joycelyn Folse (late Ronnie) and Cindy Hill (Andrés). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Age 73 years, a native of Cheltenham, England, and resident of Westwego, LA. Roger served in the U. S. Army from 1964 until 1967. He served in Germany and was a member of the cryptograph division. In 1967 he joined the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office and served until retirement in 2002 having achieved the rank of Major. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and in his spare time enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 AM until 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriners.
