Robert "Snake" Bartholomew

Robert “Snake” Bartholomew, Jr. passed away on October 8, 2023 after suffering a seizure at his home. He was the beloved and devoted son of Marie Reynolds (Robert) and the late Robert L. Bartholomew, Sr. He will be forever missed by his sister Denise B. Harlan (Tom) and nieces Sarah and Kathryn Harlan with whom he shared a close loving relationship. He is survived by his son, Christopher Landry, grandson Carson Landry his "lil homey" and the apple of his eye! and Carson's mother Faith Childress who always made sure they had regular visits. He was the cherished grandson of the late Clifford and Athalie Bartholomew of Gretna, La. and Rafael and Dorothy Diaz of New Orleans. Nephew of Miguel & Stacey Diaz of Slidell, La. He was Godfather to Jessica Favre and Kathryn "Katy " Harlan.

Snake as he was affectionately called by everyone who knew him was a diehard New York Yankee fan having made many trips to Yankee Stadium to see his team play and he was always happy while fishing at Walters camp in Happy Jack with cousin Eric and his besties.

He will also be missed by his two Frenchies, Big Freedia and Audee whom he adored. Snake had many close relationships with friends and family whom were all very dear to his heart and he loved and cherished each one. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA at 10:30 am in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum, with re-past immediately following at The Red Maple in Gretna, LA. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
