Rita Callegan Richardson passed away peacefully on September 14, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Harold R. Richardson. Mother of Diane Sabathier (Don), Vickie Nelson (Bob), Craig Richardson (Marlene), Christy Elsey, Kurt Richardson (Star) and Hope Michel (Matt). Grandmother of Candace, Joshua, Daniel, Diane and Grace. Great-grandmother of Jonathan, Olivia and Kevin.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Inez, Lois, Marie, Eve, Gerald, Junior and Nolan along with her parents, Aurelian Callegan and Daisy Braud Callegan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 6 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will follow. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale.
