Rita Marie Torres Breaux

Rita Marie Torres Breaux passed away on April 16, 2020 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Kenneth Breaux (Barbara), Hope Hargis (Hicks), Faron Breaux (Nelda) and Wanda Ditcharo; sisters, Anne, Agnes, Nellie and brother, Francis. Also survived by her grandchildren, Payton, Cory, Barbie, Sean, Shantel, Crystal, Jillian along with many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite Becnel Torres and John Torres; brothers, Tony, Thomas, and Raymond.
Rita worked for and retired from the Jefferson Parish School System after spending her career as a cook at Westwego Elementary School. She touched the lives of so many during her years. Although her passing is sorrowful, her life and legacy will be celebrated.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA from 1pm to 2pm. Graveside services will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego, LA for 2:30pm.
