Richard Calvin Williams, age 88, entered into eternal rest with his Heavenly Father on June 8, 2025. He was born and raised in Orleans Parish, but was married and lived for 60 wonderful years in Marrero, LA. He is survived by his beloved wife Tina Talamo Williams and his children David Williams, Lori Williams and Susan Williams. He loved his dog Hailey, who was always by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry L. Williams Sr. and Elenora Luscy Williams; brothers George J. Williams Sr. (Survived by Johanna), Henry L. Williams Jr. (Lynn), Charles H. Williams (Marion), and sisters Norma Williams, Doris Erato (Warren) and Lily Winn. He is the son-in-law of the late Salvatore and Cusima Talamo, brother-in-law to Angelina Talamo Berger (William), Felicie Talamo Oncale (Ray), Frank Talamo (Barbara), Joseph Talamo (Carol), Louis Talamo (Vickie) and the late Rosalie Talamo Ditta (Anthony), Mary Talamo Oncale (John) and Anthony Talamo (Survived by Mimi). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. He graduated from Francis T. Nichols High School in New Orleans and then enlisted in the United States Navy proudly serving aboard the U.S.S. Woodson-359. One enduring memory from his Navy years is the time he shook the hand of President John F. Kennedy on a wharf in New Orleans, LA. Over the years he worked at Coca Cola, Barbe’s Dairy, Jefferson Door and Jefferson Fiberglass. He loved carpentry work and spending valuable time with his wife and children. He was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. He attended services at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Marrero, LA. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 8:30AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
