He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Corona Landry, and his son, Richard Jude Landry (Jamie). Richard spent his early years in Old Algiers, where he attended Behrman High School and played tight end for the Behrman Bees. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 1960s. After his military service, he worked for Entergy (formerly LP&L) and later for Chain Electric, retiring in 2014. In the 1970s, he also served as a member of the Belle Chasse Volunteer Fire Department.
Richard loved spending time fishing, hunting and relaxing at his camp house on the Black Warrior River in Eutaw, Alabama. He also loved to ride his Harley and made several trips out West with his club brothers with whom he shared many good times, miles and memories.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Willow Wood at Woldenberg Village for the compassionate care they provided Richard.
