Richard P. Anderson Jr. was born March 26, 1967 to the late Richard Percy Anderson Sr. and Margaret “Fannie” Lee-Anderson. Richard was affectionately known to most as “Doughnut Man” in Marrero, LA — specifically Haydel Manor, where he was raised and loved. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age, under the leadership of the late Reverend Jackson. He graduated from John Ehret High School in 1985 and entered the workforce shortly after. As a young adult he developed an esteemed love for doughnut cutting — allowing him to leverage a career as a Pastry Chef. He dedicated notable years of his career to Town View Cafe, The Joe’s Cafe Franchise, and New Orleans’ Famous Tastee’s Doughnuts. Richard leaves to mourn, his siblings: Ray Edwin Lee, Charles Steven Lee, Marrilyn (Donnie Sr.) Hart, Therese (Reginald Sr.) Francis, and Constance Garrison, aunts Rosemary Hughes, Leona Roy, and Ann Rickson, god-mother: Cynthia Jackson-Brown, life-long devoted friends: Malcolm Harris and Gilfred Walker, James Armand — of Joe’s Cafe, and a surviving host of great nieces and nephews, loved ones and friends. Though he had no biological children, he closely reared and contributed to raising all of his nieces and nephews: Keion Douville, Aubrielle (Ivan) Lewis, Reginald (Lyndrell) Francis Jr., Donnie R. Hart Jr., Iriel Garrison, Kourtney (Jamal) Johnson, Webster Garrison Jr., and Therlyn Francis. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. And Mrs. Richard P. Anderson Sr., grandparents: Leona (McCoy) and James Lee, Ida (Bowers) and Percy Anderson, uncles: Ernest and Joseph Anderson, Edward, Altus, David, and Aaron Lee, aunts: Bessie and Carol-Jean Anderson, Eliza (Davis) and Alice Lee, and niece: Shonrae Lee.
