Rena Matherne Romero

Rena Matherne Romero passed away peacefully on February 4, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Emmit J. Romero. Mother of Emmit J. Romero Jr. (Vilma), Donald J. Romero (Debbie) and Glen P. Romero (Sherrie). Grandmother of Rachel and Johnny Romero. Sister of Dale Matherne (Gerri), the late Clyde Matherne (Charlotte), Freddie Matherne (Earline) and Ruth Matherne Bye (Tommy). Daughter of the late Forest and Aimee Matherne. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Wynhoven Health Care Center and Notre Dame Hospice for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 8 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Garden of Memories Cemetery.
