Raymond L. Taranto

Raymond L. Taranto, Sr. passed away on March 28, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Betty Scarborough Taranto. Father of Raymond L. Taranto, Jr. (wife, Janet), Bonnie Lambert (husband, Clarence “Butch”), Rena Diane Cavanaugh (husband, John), Frank Taranto, Sr., Susan Loustalot (husband, Randall) and the late Frank Taranto, Jr. Son of the late Lillian Landry Taranto and Frank David Taranto. Brother of the late Vera Carter and Shirley “Petie” Taranto. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He was a resident of Algiers, LA, served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Atlantic/European Theater of Operations and was a member of American Legion Post No. 218 in Algiers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
