Rayelynn Fischer Fagot-Canzoneri

Rayelynn Fischer Fagot-Canzoneri, 78, of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on December 04, 1947, to Raymond G. Fischer and Magdalena Sottile Fisher, passed away peacefully at her home on December 30, 2025. She was a remarkable woman that leaves behind a legacy of love, lifelong accomplishments, and great adventures. Rayelynn obtained her formal education locally in New Orleans studding to be a Paralegal at UNO and attended Warren Easton High School.

Rayelynn was a well-known real estate agent, building an accomplished career that spanned more than 59 years across multiple states, and was a proud member of the President’s Circle for RPAC, appointed as Louisiana representative to the 2023 RPAC Participation Council and Emeritus CRS Member at Residential Real Estate Council.

Rayelynn was very proud of her children, dedicated her life to her family, and took every opportunity to share her love of travel with them. She was a fearless world traveler, always eager for new adventures and excited to explore unfamiliar corners of the world together. Yet, no matter how far she roamed, her heart was forever drawn back to her family’s roots in Sicily, Italy.

Rayelynn loved attending parties and events as she was always the life of the party and her infectious laughter and loving spirit brightened the lives of all. But when it came to her passion for football, it was a league of its own, just ask the die‑hard New Orleans Saints and Tulane Green Wave fans she ran with, they could tell you a tale or two. Just recently, another team made the list, the Mississippi State Bulldogs where her granddaughter Juju attends.

Rayelynn, was the third of five sisters, and is survived by her husband, Terry Canzoneri; daughter, Jennifer Ann Lazaro (former husband Julian); her son, Scott D. Fagot (Gracie); granddaughter, Julianna Rae Lazaro (William “Creel”); her sisters, Virginia Fischer-Grubb, Magdelena Fischer-Zschiedrich (Milton), Patricia Fischer (Laurie); chosen sister Donna Petit Costanza (Joe); and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Magdalena Fisher, cherished sister Rosemary Fischer-Crowder, and niece Cheryl Swanson.

A celebration of her vivid and bright life will be held privately by her family at a later date.
