Randy David Dufrene went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 61 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Nola Dufrene and his sister, Debbie Poche. He is loving father of Seth Dufrene (Alyssa). He is devoted grandfather of Adelais Dufrene. He is brother of Ricky Dufrene, Ronnie Dufrene (Rose), Vickie Esteves (Bobby), Rudy Defrene and Roger Dufrene (Debbie). Randy is also survived by friend and loving caretaker, Terrie Dufrene Pierce; other family members and numerous friends. A phenomenal athlete, Randy excelled in numerous sports including football, where he played quarterback at West Jefferson High School as well as at USL. He was also played shortstop for West Jefferson High School and at USL where he was subsequently drafted by the Cleveland Indians in MLB. Other than spending time with his family, Randy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. Services will be announced by the family at a later date.
