Randolph J. "Randy" Buras

Randolph J. “Randy” Buras passed away peacefully on February 11, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of 55 years to Patricia Beck Buras. Loving father of Misti Buras Simoneaux (husband, Nolan Simoneaux Jr.) and Rande Monique Buras. Grandfather of Jessica Lauren Simoneaux (Fiancé, Ryan Ventrella) and Nolan Anthony Simoneaux III (Fiancé, Maitê Pate Pinto). Great-grandfather of Sophia Pate Simoneaux. Brother of Reba Buras Bubrig (husband, Darryl W. Bubrig Sr.), Emmet L. “Goo” Buras (wife, Sandra Johnson Buras), Felix J. “Boopie” Hoskin Jr. and the late Anthony L. “Dickie” Buras Sr. Brother-in-law of Sarintha Bullock Buras. Son of the late Emmet Louis Buras and Norma Morel Buras Hoskin and step-son of the late Felix J. “Toe” Hoskin Sr. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Randy was a longtime resident of Buras, LA and was co-owner of H & B Construction Company. He was a member of Dimitry C. Vidacovich American Legion Post No. 193, Fr. Floribert Blank Knights of Columbus Council No. 8703 and the Very Rev. T.J. Larkin Assembly, Fourth Degree K of C.
The family would like to thank his caregiver Sharon Johnson along with his nurse Alden and the staff of St. Tammany Parish Hospital Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Monday, Feburary 13, 2017 from 10 AM until 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
