Randel "Randy" Borne

Randel “Randy” Borne passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Priscilla Lavergne Borne. Loving father of Rachelle Lagarde (Jack) and Rebecca Amos (Gary Jr.). Grandfather of Erin Amos, Randel Amos (Hunter) and the late Carrie Dufrene. Great-grandfather of Corey and Oren Romo. Brother of David Borne, M.D., Cindy Marcantel and Oscar Louis Borne III. Son of the late Valrie Guidry Borne Cormier and Oscar Louis Borne Jr. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Randel retired from the Alliance Refinery and was very involved in his community. In addition to being an avid outdoorsman, he was a member of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office Posse, coached ball for the Plaquemines Parish Recreation Department, was a member of the Forest Hill Riding Club, a volunteer fireman for Plaquemines Parish, and usher/greeter at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and worked with his beloved Priscilla as Fair Chaircouple for O.L.P.H. He will be sadly missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
