In Loving Memory of Policarpo “Polin” Galindo
Policarpo “Polin” Galindo entered into eternal peace with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the age of 83. Polin was the beloved husband of June Carol Galindo Diamond for 41 wonderful years and a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was the son of the late Dr. Policarpo Galindo Ebanks and the late Maria Margarita Sosa de Galindo. Born and raised in Roatán, Honduras, Polin spent his early years working alongside his family, where he learned the values of hard work, generosity and service to others. He later lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years and was most recently a resident of San Antonio, Texas. Polin was the loving father of five children from his first marriage to the late Argelia Nuñez (formerly Galindo): Cesar Galindo, Luis Alfonso Galindo, Policarpo Arturo Galindo, Sandro Marcelo Galindo and Erika Margarita Galindo. He is lovingly survived by his wife, June Carol Galindo, with whom he built a blended family deeply rooted in love. When he married June, he warmly embraced her son, Jason Michael Diamond (Leticia Carmona), as his own. Together, Polin and June also shared two children: Kimberly Margarita Galindo (Traver Elwin) and Joshua Policarpo Galindo (Keyanna Galindo). He was a proud grandfather to Josias Said Galindo, Priscilla Saraí Galindo, Moriah Rachel Galindo, Etny Abigail Galindo, Daniela Erika Galindo, Benjamin Estevan Galindo, Andrew Gabriel Galindo, Christopher Galindo, Juan Galindo, Eliana Aseneth Galindo, Alaia Samara Galindo, Jaeden John McNab Galindo, Asher McNab Galindo, Annika McNab Galindo, Jenevieve Diamond, Olivia Diamond and Jordan Diamond, each of whom brought him great joy and pride. Polin was also the beloved brother of the late Rolando Galindo and the late Maria Elena Cooper Galindo, as well as Julio Galindo and Marco Tulio Galindo. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends whose lives were touched by his love and generosity. Throughout his life, Polin worked in maritime transportation, carrying supplies and cargo around the world. He later spent many years as a boatman with Zapata Gulf. His travels allowed him to meet people from many different cultures and he was widely known for his warm personality and willingness to help others. Well known throughout Roatán and beyond as a gifted musician, songwriter, and singer, Polin had a deep love for music. He enjoyed writing his own songs and sharing his talent with others. In his earlier years, he performed secular music, but after experiencing God’s work in his life and being inspired by the faithful example of his wife, June, he felt called to dedicate his musical gifts to the Lord. From that point forward, he began writing songs of faith and worship, using his music to glorify God and encourage others. Polin also loved gardening, farming, fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed watching television, especially Sanford and Son as well as nature and wildlife programs. He also cherished memories of playing baseball with his brothers during his childhood in Honduras. Above all, Polin was a man of faith who faithfully attended church and openly shared his love for God. His kindness, generosity and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
