Piper Stumpf Decareaux passed away on February 26, 2014 at the age of 43 years. Beloved mother of Ian Robert Decareaux and Abigail Grace Decareaux. Daughter of Harry C. Stumpf and Mary Frances Henricks Stumpf. Step-daughter of Cynthia Torgersen Stumpf. Daughter-in-law of Larry Nick Decareaux, Sr. and the late Gail Decareaux. Sister of Ashley Stumpf Borges (Mack), Harry “Clancy” Stumpf, Jr. (Brittany), Robert “Scott” Smith (Katie) and Christopher Todd Smith (Rose). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Piper attended Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Couteau, LA and New Orleans, LA, graduating in 1988. She graduated from Univ. of New Orleans with her BA in Education. She taught in the Head Start program for Jefferson Parish Schools and later was a child care provider. She will be sadly missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
