Phyllis Ellis Buckley

Phyllis Ellis Buckley, age 62, passed away on October 29, 2022. Loving wife of Johnny Buckley for 24 years and mother of Melissa Delaune (Craig) and John Bourgeois Jr. (Angela). Grandmother of Trenton Hines, Allie Bourgeois, Riley Allemand, and Kensi Allemand. Phyllis was born on September 28, 1960 to the late Vernon Ellis Sr. and the late Barbara Ellis. Sister of Vernon Ellis Jr., the late Van Ellis and the late John Ellis. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She will be dearly missed by all the many friends she has met along the way. Friends and family are invited to attend a prayer service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., in Marrero on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 6PM. Visitation will begin at 3PM. Cremation will follow.
