Pete J. Creppel

Pete J. Creppel entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Beloved and loving husband of 58 years to Joy Gros Creppel. Son of the late Adam Ornes Creppel and Felicia Touchard Creppel. Loving and devoted father of Shelley Henry (Mike), Kristie Griffin (Butch), John Creppel, Sr., Debby Cozzens (Bruce) and Tommy Trascher. Loving Grandfather of Michael Henry, Jr. (Allison), Ella Griffin, Connor Griffin, Chelsie Roussel (Darren), John Creppel, Jr., Jessica Nicole, Lance Cozzens and Phillip Trascher. Beloved Great Grandfather of Margot Henry, Carter Roussel and Blayne Roussel. Brother of Lanny, Ornes, David, Clinton, Barry, Chris, Ann Jones, Felicia Huffman and the late Adam, Richard, Nancy Butler and Mary Bourgeois. Pete is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pete was the definition of love, demonstrating so many acts of compassion and kindness to everyone he met, which was one of many gifts. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Pete served proudly in the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway. He was in the Air Conditioning business for over 60 years and his customers were his friends. He was a big footfall fan. He loved watching the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana, on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 10AM until 1:30PM. A Funeral Mass will take place at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
