Pedro Gavarrete-Ayala

Pedro Gavarrete-Ayala entered the presence of our Lord on November 22, 2024, in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Born December 3, 1934 in Valladolid, Honduras, he was 89 years old. Pedro was preceded in death by his father, Santos Gavarrete and his mother, Eufreciana Ayala. Loving husband to Zoila Gavarrete for 64 wonderful years, loving father of Eduardo Gavarrete along with his wife Yadira Gonzales, daughter Maritza Sarmiento along with her husband Julio Sarmiento, Hector Gavarrete, Pedro Gavarrete, Jr. along with his wife Gladys Sandoval and Milicent Kawas along with her husband Rick Kawas. He is survived by 8 grandchildren (Milicent Gavarrete, Jair Sarmiento, Isaac, John, and Pedro Gavarrete, Amanda, Eduardo and Maridalys Gavarrete) and 4 great-grandchildren (Thiago, Hanna, Marcela, Michael).

Pedro Gavarrete started his career as a laboratory technician in Centro de Salud in Tela, Honduras (1958-1980). He retired as a cytologist from Hospital Atlantida and Ashonplafa in La Ceiba, Honduras (1980-2017). He was known in the community for his gentleness and kindness towards the community he served. 

Pedro Gavarrete Ayala was a Christian believer who partook in the Lord's supper at Sala Evangelica in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. He entered the presence of his loved GOD surrounded by family, and by brothers and sisters in Christ.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Lake Park Chapel, 201 Schlief Dr., Belle Chasse, LA, on Friday, November 29, 2024.

Private family visitation: 10:00 - 10:30 AM 

Visitation: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Funeral service: 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. 

Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave. Terrytown, LA. 70056.

Pedro fue precedido en la muerte por su padre Santos Gavarrete, madre Eufreciana Ayala. Amado esposo de Zoila Gavarrete por 64 maravillosos años, amado padre de Eduardo Gavarrete Cruz junto con su esposa Yadira Gonzales, hija Maritza Sarmiento junto con su esposo Julio Sarmiento, hijo Hector Gavarrete Cruz, Pedro Antonio Gavarrete Cruz junto con su esposa Gladys Sandoval e hija Lidia Milicent Kawas junto con su esposo Rick Kawas. Le sobreviven 8 nietos (Milicent Gavarrete, Jair Sarmiento, Isaac, John, Peter Gavarrete, Amanda, Eduardo y Maridalys Gavarrete) y 4 bisnietos (Thiago, Hanna, Marcela, Michael).

Pedro Gavarrete, inició su carrera como técnico de laboratorio en el Centro de Salud en Tela, Atlántida, Honduras, (1958-1980). Se jubiló como citólogo del Hospital Atlántida y Ashonplafa en La Ceiba, Honduras, (1980-2017). Era conocido en la comunidad por su calidad humana, por su bondad hacia la comunidad a la que servía. 

Pedro Gavarrete Ayala era un creyente cristiano, participó de la cena del Señor en la Sala Evangélica en Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Fue a la presencia de su Amado DIOS rodeado de su Familia, y de Hermanos y Hermanas en Cristo.

"Le respondió Simon Pedro: Señor a quién iremos? Tu tienes palabras de vida eterna Y nosotros hemos creido y conocemos que tu eres el Cristo, el Hijo del Dios viviente" Juan 6: 68-69
