Paulette M. Laurent was born on January 17, 1949 and passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023 at the age of 74.
Paulette was a loving mother, grandmother, and caretaker. She was a medical assistant for many years and retired from the Ochsner Medical Group. She never met a stranger and family was everything. She was truly the life of the party. She spent her whole life caring for the needs of others and touched the hearts and lives of so many. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her son, Roy M. Thompson (April) and daughter, Christine M. Schindler (Mike); brothers, Paul and David Laurent Sr.; sisters, Audrey L. Orgeron, Joyce Schafer, Beverly Lafont, and Jacqueline Hotard; granddaughters, Bailey and Trinity Thompson, Myka and Teyla Daniel; bonus children, Jimmy and Pat McGintey, Kathleen Schmidt, along with many bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel.
