Paula Bourge Sanchez

Paula Bourge Sanchez, a resident of Westwego, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026 at the age of 60 years. Beloved wife of 32 years to Gary P. Sanchez. Loving sister of Arleen Thibodeaux (the late Terry), Gina Cox (Don), and Mark Bourge (Beth). Sister-in-law of Tina Melford (the late Jeff), Mike Sanchez, Perry Sanchez, and the late Jane Sanchez. Daughter of the late Mary Bourge DiMarco and Lindsey Bourge. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Paula was a cafeteria worker for the Jefferson Parish School Board, serving several schools, most recently, Westwego Elementary. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Jane Haley and the staff of Living Tranquil for the care and compassion given to Paula and her family.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Monday, November 2, 2026 for 1:30 pm at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Avenue A at 5th Street in Westwego.
