Paul Joseph Shano

Paul Joseph Shano, age 83 entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Son of the late Rosalie Angrisano Shano and William Barron Shano. Brother of the late Angelina “Angie” Bourgeois, late Joe Shano, late Lena Kass, late Mike Shano, late Louise Breaux, late Salvador "Sam" Shano, late Mary Richard, late Buffa Shano and Charlie Shano.  Paul was born in New Orleans and resided with his Momma Shano until she gained her wings in 1985.  His beloved sister, Angie then assumed responsibility for and took great care of Paul ensuring he lived in the best facilities.  Paul spent every holiday with Angie and brother in law, Genie.  He enjoyed her big meals and spending his days walking all around Gretna and surrounding cities making new friends and collecting items he found on his walks.  He loved all dogs and other animals raised by his Momma.  Paul’s great nephew, Torri, his wife Cathy and daughters, Tessi and Nikki ensured Uncle Paul was well taken care of after his sister Angie’s passing.  He was then moved to Resthaven in Bogalusa, Louisiana and spent his final few years under their great care.  The family wanted to send special thanks to Clay, the administrator at Resthaven as well as his staff for taking good care of Uncle Paul.  All family are invited to his graveside service at WestLawn  Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. on Thursday , April 4, 2024 at 11:00 am.
