Patricia "Patty" Moran Anderson, passed away on August 23, 2026 at the age of 74, leaving a legacy defined by hard work and love of her family.
For 28 years, Patricia was a dedicated Sales Associate at Walmart in Algiers, LA. Blessed with a tireless work ethic, she remained a committed and active part of her workforce, working all the way up until her passing.
If you knew Patricia, you knew three things to be true: oldies music was always playing in the background, board games, card games and a challenging puzzle was likely spread across her table, and you would rarely—if ever—see her without a cold Dr Pepper in her hand. She found absolute contentment in these quiet pleasures, but her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people she loved. She poured her heart into her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Patricia’s spirit lives on in her surviving family, including her children, Gary Anderson, Sr. (Lisa) and Cheryl Anderson Redler; and her siblings, Margarett Sibley, Diane Williams, Gus Moran, and Merteal Moran and brother in law, Francis J. Cochran, Sr..
She was the beloved grandmother of Ashley Ray, Austin Anderson, Brittany Heath, Ronald "Ronnie" Redler, Alexis Tanner, Chance Anderson, Mariah Anderson, and Kaitlin Anderson. Her 14 cherished great-grandchildren brought immense light and joy to her life. As well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia is reunited in peace with her beloved husband, Harrison D. (Junior) Anderson; her dear son, David Anderson; her cherished grandson, Gary Anderson, Jr.; Sharie Moran Hoover and Prentiss Moran who was cherished under her guardianship; her mother, Vivian “Billie” Orso; her father, Petro Moran; and her sister, Mary Ann Brown, all of whom preceded her in death. Family, friends and coworkers from Walmart Algiers are invited to come together to celebrate Patricia’s life and the incredible light she shared with the world.
